Last week we hosted the famous meteorologist Nilkola Vikić-Topić as part of the Green STEM project activities (https://www.green-stem.eu/).
Nikola held a lecture for students attending the optional course in Geophysics, and the topic was El Nino – a natural phenomenon that causes the warming of surface waters in the eastern equatorial part of the Pacific Ocean. We learned about its impact and far-reaching consequences, as well as the importance and connection of all systems on Earth.
Many thanks to Nikola for his commitment and willingness to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with our students.
And we hope that someone will continue in his footsteps and research natural phenomena.
