On May 20, 2025, Private High School Algoritam organized the Final Local Conference of the GreenSTEM – Fostering a Green and Sustainable Mindset through STEM Education project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union. The event, held at MladiHub in Skopje, gathered educators, policymakers, and project stakeholders to share the outcomes and celebrate the achievements of this impactful initiative.
The conference opened with a welcome speech by Ms. Marina Bozhinova, Director of PHS Algoritam, followed by a presentation of the project’s results, developed materials, and pilot activities implemented across partner schools from North Macedonia, Croatia, Slovenia, and Romania.
Among the honored guests were teachers from public high schools and elementary schools, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Education and Science, the Bureau for Development of Education, and the National Agency for European Educational Programmes and Mobility.
During the event, the audience was introduced to the educational modules created through the project, including:
- STEM 1 – The Fifth Element: Interdisciplinary materials exploring topics such as geophysics, volcanoes, air pollution, water cycles, forest fires, and outdoor ecology education.
- STEM 2 – Biology, Robotics, and Numerical Modeling: Hands-on materials covering smart gardening, 3D printing, Arduino sensors, and biological systems like the muscular and reproductive systems.
- HUD – History: A creative module focused on influential figures from Macedonian history and patriotic poetry.
- MIT – Financial Literacy: Practical tools for personal financial planning and digital competency development.
The conference concluded with a networking cocktail and a photo exhibition showcasing student activities and project implementation across countries.
